Looking for assistance !
CFTI (Compagnie française des tramways de l’Indochine) that was operating tramways in Saigon was using 020T Borsig locomotives after they have regauged their network from 0.60m.
Altogether they have bought 11 locos from Borsig (No.12-22 ).
Delivery details from “Lokomotiven von Borsig” by Dietrich Kutschik / 1985.
It appears there were two versions that have differed in sand dome only (from what can be judged from the photos).
So far no tech details have emerged yet.
The last three locos (No.23-25 ) were also made by Borsig, but under Decauville brand.
No confirmed photo of these has appeared so far.
So I am proposing a speculation based on the photo of the following loco that looks to be ex-tramway and working on a construction site of a tram line extension north from Saigon (7 years after the electrification of the city tram network) that the following photo is showing one of them.
This loco looks very alike to other Decauville by Borsig locos from around that time (1912)
Btw. What was the purpose of the “spoiler” on the top back of the loco cabin ?
